Airsoft Guns Need To Be Taken Seriously

A new trend in making airsoft guns look as real as their lethal counterparts, brought with it a massive dilemma. In that you cannot tell the difference between airsoft guns and real weapons by only visual inspection. Even if you had all the time in the world to study these weapons, making a choice will be impossible. Imagine what you will do if you find yourself staring down the barrel of one during a robbery?
What was once a toy with no killing powers on the table; has become a life threat in the hands of criminals. So if ever you find yourself with a gun pointed at you – never assume that it may be a toy. Always take guns seriously.
Originally the airsoft gun came on the market as toys that were used either as novelties or later on when they saw a whole sport evolve round them. Serious airsoft games were developed by adrenalin junkies who thought games of shooting at people in real life situations was fun.
The chase was on between gamers to find better and faster guns, so their feedback gave manufacturers the brief to drop the boring springs which powered these older weapons and find something a bit more explosive. They did just that!
In an effort to mimic the explosiveness of gun powder, manufacturers started installing gas chambers in the pistols. These pushed the bullet out at very realistic speeds, adding to the thrills of the gamers. Airsoft guns took a step closer to being real weapons.
When these air guns were found lacking, manufacturers introduced propane, a very volatile gas in its place, as the driving force for airsoft guns. These guns proved a big hit as even the smells were close to those produced by real weapons being fired.
When the smoking cap was introduced, airsoft guns acquired the ability to smoke just like real guns do after a shot being fired. The shooting reality games grew to ultimate heights with this new addition.
Manufacturers of these weapons respond to every whim and cry their customers may have and in the process more lethal looking and acting toy weapons are made daily. Funnily enough, the major role player in this industry, Japan, realized what a threat these toys actually are and banned Japanese people from owning or using them. Not for a moment do they consider what these weapons are doing all over the world and exports just stay on the rise. However the onus is on the country importing these to take responsibility
When you buy one of these airsoft guns and bring it home, treat it like a real weapon from the get go. Children can do great harm to themselves or others when they play with guns such as these on their own. Gas propelled bullets will penetrate skin and definitely destroy an eye if fired from up close-up, leaving a child blinded. You will be a fool to think of these toys as being harmless, and this may cost you dearly.
Used under supervision and with all the necessary safety gear, playing with these airsoft guns can be a huge amount of fun if shooting at other people is meaningful to you. Toys that look like real weapons will always be a huge concern to those who do not share the fascination for mock killing games and these people should be respected as well.
Airsoft Guns As A Hobby

Airsoft guns as a hobby are becoming more and more popular. There are a few considerations to keep in mind when deciding to take up such a hobby, the first being that such a replica gun is considered a toy, though it is very, very realistic-looking. They shoot soft plastic or rubber BBs at high muzzle velocities, which is part of their attraction for many enthusiasts.
As a class of toy gun, the kinds one will find in the airsoft gun category will resemble some of the most well-known sidearms, rifles — and military versions are highly popular — and tactical shotgun weapons. Most of the time, the only difference between the real deal and the replica, in terms of looks, will be that they are is a brightly colored tip on the muzzle of the toy gun.
As far as which particular guns are the most popular, the M4 carbine always seems to be a big seller, along with a Heckler and Koch MP5 and the Soviet version AK-47. Additionally, there are many different kinds of handguns and tactical-looking shotguns. Most new hobby or enthusiast toy gun users go for what the military models, for some reason.
Airsoft guns are used in a similar fashion paintball guns, at least in theory. The replica gun is loaded with those soft BBs which are then fired at an opponent or a target. It’s common for replica gun enthusiasts to engage in role-playing or large team competitions. With over 300 ft./s of muzzle velocity, the games can be quite stimulating and exciting.
Also, anyone investing the money in a complete package for something like an M4 carbine will get a number of accessories to go with it. Usually a tactical harness or vest is included along with extra bits and pieces for the weapon such as spare magazines, for instance. As was said, a nice looking grenade launcher is included with the more expensive replica gun models.
As a matter of how the BBs are fired, most such airsoft guns make use of electric power from those batteries fire a piston that creates sufficient air velocity to shoot the BB downrange. Initially, ensure any new battery is charged up for at least four hours before using. And always try to make sure after that that it is charged only for as long as is needed.
Doing such a thing is recommended in order to prevent the battery from developing a memory that causes it to run out of juice before it really should. You might see this if you only charge the battery halfway and then recharge it when it still has a lot of charge left. At any rate, the better replica gun packages will include a second battery. Swap them out occasionally.
When it comes to price, a basic package can be had for around $50 after discounts. Airsoft guns, though, can range up to more than $300 for the very nice models and their accessories that would come with them. Relatively speaking, however, it’s not a lot of money when one considers how much safer and airsoft replica gun can be in comparison to paintballs or traditional copper BBs. Spare soft BBs will also be a consideration, so keep that in mind.

Fit Fact: How Hard You Exercise May Reduce Your Risk of Cancer
I often see my beginning clients do one of two things when it comes to cardio – they either start off trying to work at a level they used to be at and end up a heaving, miserable mess or they stay in their comfort zone for so many workouts, that they never really challenge themselves. Either one of these choices leads to the same thing – lack of progression. When you work harder than what your body can handle time and again, you don’t allow it the time it needs to rest, recover and build endurance. When you work at a comfortable pace all the time, your body doesn’t have anything to work against and, therefore, never moves forward.
Intensity is often a personal thing. What feels hard to one person may feel easy to another person, but one thing we all need is a balance of workouts – some at a moderate intensity and some at a higher intensity.
Working at a higher intensity has a number of benefits – you burn more calories, your heart learns how to beat more efficiently and your body uses oxygen more efficiently. Another interesting benefit of higher intensity workouts is a reduced risk of cancer in men. In a recent study, researchers found that men who exercised at 5.2 METs (the equivalent of jogging or cycling vigorously) had a lower cancer mortality compared with men who exercised at 3.7 METs (the equivalent to walking at a moderate pace). Keep in mind that using METs (metabolic equivalent tasks) is just one method of measuring intensity.
Moderate intensity exercise has benefits as well, including health benefits like lower cholesterol and a reduced risk of heart disease and diabetes. Moderate workouts allow you to build more endurance, they’re often more comfortable (which means you’re likely to do them more often) and they offer more accessible activities like walking, cycling or even raking leaves, if you do it hard enough.
Learn more about how to incorporate low, moderate and high intensity exercise into your routine and be sure to leave a comment about your own experiences. How hard do you work during cardio? Do you mix up the intensity from week to week or do you keep things the same from workout to workout? How important is intensity when it comes to choosing your workouts?
